It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mabel Ellis Cormier, age 91, of Shediac.  Mabel passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, June 2, 2016. 

Born in England, she was a daughter of the late George and Mabel (Poole) Ellis.

Mabel was a dedicated wife and mother.  She always made sure her children had everything they needed.  She was a great homemaker, and loved gardening, cooking, being around her pets and liked all animals.  Everyone in the family enjoyed spending time with her; she had a quiet, pleasing personality.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, and enjoyed playing on their Dart Team.

She will be sadly missed by sons, James (Vicki Shea), Stanley (Donna), Francis; daughters, Sheila Cormier, Marilyn (Merle) Sibbert; many grandchildren continuing for 3 to 4 generations. 

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph; sisters Carrie Booth and Edna Schentag; brothers Thomas, William, and Arthur.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  A private family visitation and graveside service will take place at a later date.  Burial will take place in the Four Corners Cemetery.
