After a brief illness, Cai passed away peacefully with family at her side in the Sackville Hospital on Monday, May 23, 2016.

She is pre-deceased by her husband of 63 years Robert Heughan. She will be dearly missed by her children Katherine (Les) Marlin, Cindy (Steve) Tulley, George (Pam) Heughan, and grandchildren Amanda (Nic) McLellan, Ben (Krisztina) Marlin, Curt (Lacey) Marlin, Chelsea Tulley, Presley, William and Lena Heughan, step grandsons Ryan (Nicola) Tulley and Lewis Tulley, and great grandchildren Elsa and Camden McLellan, Alexander and Elizabeth Marlin.  Cai grew up in Beauharnois QC and resided in St. Lambert QC, Toronto ON, Sutton QC,  Sackville NB, and spent summers in Charlevoix, QC.

Throughout her life she was an active member of the Presbyterian Church. Friendly, chatty, and caring, she was renowned for capturing family photographs, her baking, sewing, and knitting. She and her cookies will be missed by many.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville NB (506-364-1300). A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Sackville on Thursday, May 26th, 2016 at 11am.  A committal service will take place in Beauharnois, PQ during the summer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sackville Hospital Memorial Auxiliary.
