Edward Graham Smallwood, 73 of Murray Corner, passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born in Cape Tormentine NB, he was the son of the late Ernest and Pearl (McGlashing) Smallwood.

He started his working career on the CN, QNS&L and CP Railways.  Edward owned and operated a commercial fishing boat for over 50 years and in his later years, he was a lobster buyer in PEI where he continued to make many new friends and share old stories.

One sister Gertrude (Kermath) of Bayfield and one brother Clifford (Darlene) of Cape Tormentine; five grandchildren Samantha, Graham (Shelby), Darcy, Ryan and Alex; three great granddaughters Madison, Isabella and Alexa as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his infant daughter Stephanie (1964) and by a special nephew Dustin (2010).

Edward loved his family tremendously and would always do anything he could to help them. He enjoyed making memories with family and many friends at the camp, playing cards, hunting, triking, snowmobiling.
