It is with deep sadness that we announce
the passing of Marven Harold Snowdon, age
73, of Wood Point, NB. After a short battle with Cancer,
Marven passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the
Sackville Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving
family.
Born in Wood Point, NB, he was a son of
the late Earl and Dorothy (Wheaton) Snowdon.
Marven was a life long lobster
fisherman, fishing the Bay of Fundy out of Wood Point. He
loved hunting, fishing, spending time at the camp and traveling
through the woods on his ATV. He enjoyed going to and
playing Bingo and Newfoundland Bingo with his many friends.
He loved time with his family and especially his
grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his wife
Wendy (O'Brien), Wood Point; children, Dorothy (Bret) Berneche,
Buffalo Junction, Virginia, Richard (Corinne), Wood Point, Shelly
(William) Smith, Wood Point, Lynn Tower, Wood Point, Allan Tower
(Denise Green), Sackville; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren;
sister Linda (George) Hayward, Hillsborough, NB, Benjamin, British
Settlement; several nieces and nephews; his cat Maddy and his puppy
Ellie Mai and Daisy.
He was predeceased by his first wife the
former Margaret "Peggy" Duhy and sister Phyllis
Jonah.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville
(506-364-1300) from where a time of visitation will be held on Sunday,
March 13, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, as well as on Monday, March
14, 2016 from noon until 2 pm. The funeral service will
follow immediately at 2 pm from Jones Funeral Home, Pastor Danny Jack
officiating. Interment will be held in the Westcock Cemetery
in the Spring.

may be made to the Wood Point Baptist Church or the Westcock
Cemetery.
