It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Doris
Winnifred Trenholm, age 89, of Port Elgin. Doris passed away
at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday, November 23, 2015.
Born in Upper Cape, NB, she was a daughter of the
late George and Elizabeth (Lancaster) Mullins.
She enjoyed working at the Strathcona Hotel in Port Elgin for
3 years. She worked for Frank Copp Woolen Mill and at
Cormier LeBlanc's Fish Factory. Doris enjoyed watching
television, especially The Trailer Park Boys. She loved to
entertain and cook for friends and family. She enjoyed
spending time with her granddaughter Ashley and "Gigi" the
dog. She looked forward to Bingo and her scratch
tickets.
She will be sadly missed by 2 daughters, Donna (David)
Hipditch, Kitchener, ON and Brenda Jones, Port Elgin, a step-son
George "Peter" (Wanda) Trenholm, Moncton; grandchildren
Lance (Deanna), Ashley, Jeremy, Sabrina, and Ray Jr.; great
grandchildren, Bradley and Kyle; step grandchildren Tina and Kelly;
step great grandchildren Bailey and Keegan.
She
was predeceased by her husband Donald Trenholm; brothers Victor and
Reginald Mullins and sister Gladys Polley.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral
Home. Visitation will be held at their Port Elgin location,
3 West Main Street (506-538-2241) on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from
noon until 2 pm, followed immediately by the funeral service at 2 pm,
William Drysdale DLM officiating. Burial in the Fernwood Cemetery will
take place at a later date.
