Peacefully at 99 years of age, Phyllis Irene
MacGregor of Sackville, passed away at the Moncton City
Hospital on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Born in Northwood,
England, Phyllis was a daughter of the late John and Agnus (Shergold)
Mullett.
Phyllis was a member of the Sackville
Seniors club, the Dorchester Seniors Club and The Eastern
Star as well as a former member of the I.O.D.E. She was a
faithful attendant of the Midgic Baptist Church. She loved a
good game of cards and going to Bingo and was always certain to have
her hair done once a week. Phyllis was a loving mother,
grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by one son, James
(Neva) of Fredericton; two daughters Heather (George) Doane
of Hammonds Plains, NS and Donna (Percy) Rossignol of
Miramichi; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great
great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she
was predeceased by her husband Ian James MacGregor; a son
Robert; two brothers, Reginald and Cyril Mullett; a
son-in-law Carl Bowes, and a grandson Ronald MacGregor.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of
Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300) from
where a time of visitation will be held 2-4 pm on Saturday, November
21, 2015. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home
at 2 pm on Sunday with interment to follow in the Dorchester Rural
Cemetery. Pastor Hal Lowther presiding.
Donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to the Canadian
Diabetes Association, the CNIB, The Canadian Cancer Society, or a
charity of one's choice.
