It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Marie Richard, age 51, of Sackville, NB.  Rita passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, November 15, 2015 with family by her side.

Born in Sackville, NB, she was a daughter of Emile Richard and the late Doris (Melanson) Richard.

Rita has lived in Sackville all her life, working at Home Hardware for several years.  She was a kind and caring woman who loved to give to others.  She enjoyed time at home, working outside, especially in her gardens.  She could get through anything with a smile on her face.

Sadly missed by her father, Emile Richard, Sackville; a daughter, Aminta Richard, New Minas; two sons, Dianté Richard, Montreal and Emilio Richard, Fredericton; four brothers, Reginald (Kathy), Sackville, Michael (Tasha), Sackville, Ronnie (Susan), Tyvan, SK; and Gerard (Cheryl), Sackville; two sisters, Nora (Bryon) Parrish, Hutchinson, KS and Edna (David) Marks, Midgic; special partner, Alan Dempsey, Amherst; friend, Alan's son, Colton, Fredericton, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her mother, she was predeceased by an infant sister, Mona Marie Richard and friend,  Brandon Dempsey.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).  In keeping with Rita's wishes, there will be no visiting hours or funeral.  Public burial will take place beside her mother in the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Middle Sackville on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 10 am.
