Born in Midgic, NB, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Kate (Fillmore) Patterson.

Sarah was a very hard worker and was very devoted to caring for her large family.  She had a huge heart;  her door was always open, and anyone was welcome in her home and at her table.  She loved to cook, and no one ever went away hungry.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh.  Animals were always near and dear to her heart.

She will be sadly missed by her children Darrell (Judy), Maccan, Melbourne (Barb), Miramichi, Brenda (Ronald) Estabrooks, Sackville, Michael (Sheila), Pitts Meadow, BC, Richard, Whitehorse, YK, Derrick, Sackville, Carl, Coquitlam, BC, and Darren, Souris, BC; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother Ellsworth (Betty) Patterson, Sackville, sister Julia Hunsley, Amherst and Gertrude Ormandy, Lethbridge, AB; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sons Todd and Paul; siblings Carl, Charlie, Doug, William, and Eleanor Atkinson; daughter in law Gayle Ward.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.  The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 2 pm, Pastor Hal Lowther officiating.  Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery.
