It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of
Betty Christine Tower, 86, who passed
away on November 10, 2015 after a brief illness at The Moncton
Hospital.
Born in 1929 in Port Elgin, she was
the daughter of the late Myrtle (Murray) and Scott Arbeau.
Betty was a former employee of the Sackville Memorial
Hospital prior to retirement. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and
quilting. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed cooking for her family
and preserving. Betty attended the United Church in past years in
Sackville NB, where she lived and raised her family.
Betty is survived by six children Linda (David) Price, Carolyn
(Richard) Tower Leblanc, Alan Tower, David (Alma) Tower, Susan
(Aurelle) Lirette, and Bruce Tower. She had 13
grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Betty enjoyed seeing and spending time with her grandchildren over the
years. Betty is also survived by sisters Elaine (Bob) Guertin, Doreen
(George) Lane, and by brothers Gerald (Jean) Arbeau and
Bobby (Norma) Arbeau.
She was predeceased by
her husband Carman G. Tower; son Robert Tower; sister Barbara Stright;
infant sister Joyce Arbeau; brother in laws George Lane, Bob Guertin,
Percy Tower, Donnie Tower; sister in laws Dot McKinnon, Hilda
Arsenault. Also predeceasing Betty were her husband's half
brothers and sisters.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB
(506-364-1300) where visitation will be held on Saturday November 14
from 2-4 PM. The funeral will be held at the Jones Funeral
Home on Sunday, November 15 at 2 pm, Rev. Wayne McCarther
officiating. Burial will follow at the Sackville
Cemetery.
