The death of Allison Ross
Goodwin, 87, of Baie Verte, NB, occurred on
Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital,
Moncton. Allison was a son of the late Ford and Effie (Allen)
Goodwin.
Allison was creative with his
hands. He enjoyed working with leather and later in life,
oil painting. He was a collector of music, in particular
Jazz LPs and was an avid golfer and snowmobiler. Wildlife preservation
with Ducks Unlimited and the observation of waterfowl in Goodwin Pond
brought him great pleasure.
He was a car
enthusiast and in later years took great pride in his Mustang
GT.
Allison will be sadly missed by, one son
Brent (Diana) Goodwin, Halifax; a daughter Carolyn (Alan) Gibson,
Halifax; step-daughter, Nancy (David) Trueman, Moncton; two step-sons,
Jeff and Peter Crawford, both of Moncton; three grandchildren, Tara
Gibson, Alberta, Colin Goodwin, Halifax, and Jasper Goodwin, Halifax;
step granddaughter, Frankie (Joel) Phillips, Moncton; a brother, Keith
Goodwin, Baie Verte, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his second
wife, Betty (nee Beers).
The family wishes to
extend a special thank you to Gail Roach for her loving care and
friendship over the years.
Arrangements are
under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral
Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300); a
funeral service will be held from St. James United Church, Baie Verte,
at a later date to be announced.
